Charlotte Straughan, creator of Ciaté, is one of the nail industry’s best kept secrets. Starting life as a manicurist, she worked on fashion shows alongside some of the world's leading designers and top celebrity models these include Helena Christensen, Lily Donaldson, Agyness Deyn, Daria Werbowy, Gemma Ward and Jessica Stam.
After relocating to Ireland in 1999, Charlotte stepped out from behind the manicurist table to become a successful business woman and entrepreneur. By using her extensive knowledge of the industry she opened a small chain of nail bars in Dublin, Cork, Galway and Belfast. Whilst acknowledging the quality and effectiveness of many of the top brands she used at the nail bars, she still felt there was a niche to be filled and room in the market place for something new and exciting. She went on to research and develop her own line of fabulous products to address the needs of not only the client but also the professional nail technician.
The result: Ciaté - her first line of professional and retail manicure and pedicure products. The retro ‘50s style packaging is the fashion front for a superbly formulated collection of effective pedicure and manicure products that have become indispensable tools to the professional manicurist and a favourite retail product of the consumer.
